We were on our way towards Shah Alam bus station when we stop at Makro. I had something to buy before i board the bus to Kuantan.

My mum waited in the car and when i returned, she showed me something. It was a steel bowl (well, can i say it looked like pewter?? resemble a bit la..) so the point is the bowl was shining and looked sleek and smart as well. Because i didn't wear my glasses, i just shrugged my shoulder. Actually i didn't see that there was something encrypted on the inner wall of the the bowl and in very fine writing..

"Tadi ada orang minta sedekah. Dia bagi benda ni in return. Dia kata letak air dalam ni, and then minum air tu, boleh sembuhkan penyakit..." (well it was something like that)

Then only my adrenaline shooted up, i looked at the writing carefully and can you guys predict what was the writing all about??? Yupp, i think all of you can answer it correctly.. It was Surah YASSIN. Ok, does that actually rings a bell in your head?

I don't know why we (read Malay) really like to differentiate and isolate Yassin from the rest of the Quran? And all this nonsense, ukir kat mangkuk and then letak air dalam tu and then minum and suddenly your penyakit can go away? Well, i don't deny that there are verses in the quran that have some healing power (by Allah's will). But make sure you find hadith on that before you just practise any ayat, or else I worry that we will actually commit bid'ah. This is serious, my dear brothers and sisters.

And to think of my mum, i was glad that she discovered the danger of believing just anything that comes from just any stranger. And she didn't straightaway believed in that, she asked me first. So my dear friends, don't just think big and ignoring the small things. We talk of being one of the gears in the engine that functions to change the Ummah, yet we neglect important issues such as this.

Women, you have the power to change. In your 'kelembutan', you are capable of influencing and educating people. There is something that is just MORE IMPORTANT than jadi calon undi perhaps or keluar berkempen for Islamic revival (of course this is important as well); it is to educate your loved ones to the straight path. To reshape their Aqidah after you have shaped yours; according to the right mould.

Things as small as 'minum air dalam mangkuk bertulis yasin' tends to escape our attention but this is the foundation of the Ummah! Our Aqidah! Your loved ones believe and RELY on you!! Women, At The Mark, Get Set, Gooo!!!
