Exploring chances, introducing changes..

I tried to find something to share with the ladies out there and I searched the library. To my utmost disappointment, (as it is a mini library), I couldn’t find anything interesting literature special for women. Most of them were on ‘tanggungjawab wanita dalam rumah tangga, wanita dan jilbab etc..”

And I remember when Awan Badai (well, you can check the blog) asked me to comment on the issue of gender equality, I was drained of ideas. This never ending issue.. And Virgin Mary (in her blog, you can read it as well) sounded tired of this issue…

And if I were to comment on the issue of gender equality, I would say, check in the Muslim social circle first. Ultimately you will find severe discrimination! Oh no!!
In term of what? I would answer, In terms of education, freedom, speaking up etc. The men never say NO to the ladies (in doing things) but they never say “Chayoukk!” either, aren’t they?

For example, when a women asked her husband about car engine, the normal answer would be, “Alah, ni bukan bidang awak. Tak payah taulah..” Maybe we never realize the implications of this scenario.. BUT… it shows that men feel technology is not for women, nor is it important for them to know..

And if a women asks her husband, “Abang, Islam Liberal tu apa? Saya terdengar DJ sebut dalam radio tadi..” And her husband would answer, “Alah, awak tak payah tahulah benda-benda camtu, tak berkaitan dengan awak pun..”

AND if a woman asks her husband, “Abang, kenapa orang buat demonstrasi nak suruh kerajaan turunkan harga minyak? Bukan biasa ke harga barang berubah (meningkat) dengan peredaran masa. Waktu saya kecik kecik dulu, nasi lemak harga 5 sen je, sekarang dah RM1.50 sebugkus…”

AND the husband would answer, “Awak tu bukannya drive kereta pun. Lagipun apa gunanya awak nak tahu pasal harga minyak tu? Kalau saya terangkan bukannya awak faham pun..”

ADUSS pedasnya. I think these scenarios usually happen to housewives because they are more dependent on their husbands. But aren’t these classified as discrimination too?

Well, how about me? My say is, “Ladies, can we just move on?” There are so many important things for the women which I think are more important than discussing about things such as “Pakai tudung ala-ala Wardina menutup aurat ke tak?” or “Pakai baju warna terang dikira berhias dan terlarang ke tak?”. Oh my…

Now, why do I say there are many things which are of GREATER IMPORTANCE for the women? And what is that thing??

If we really live in the reality, we will ultimately become conscious of the highly controversial subject- ASWJ. What does that stands for? Ahlu Sunnah wal Jamaah.

Don’t just feel frustrated of this ilimiah talk, ladies. Please my friends, train our mind to deal with serious and critical matters. They are not for the man to dominate and besides, this is vital for us as well as our progeny.

A brief definition on ASWJ- Members of the group who strictly follows the Prophetic tradition. (Sunnah Rasulullah). Means.. in everything we do, we must make sure that it is in line with what Rasulullah has taught us. Our actions must be approved ones and PROVEN by hadith sahih and Quranic teachings. Ok so this is just an inducer for us all to think “Am I a true muslimah?”

And I don’t want to place you in a more confused state for the time being… just get a nice break to do some critical thinking and let me continue later.. InsyaAllah..
